National Scrapbook Day Event... In Ohio... Register for your 'freebies'...

I'm part of my Creative Memories Team that is working to put together our National Scrapbook Day (NSD) Event for this year.  The weekend will be:  Saturday/Sunday, April 14 & 15.  If you'd like more information, please email me at:  LeAnn619oh@yahoo.com and I'll forward you the invitation.  The cost is very reasonable and you can order the kits up front with me.  If you're in Northern Ohio, please consider joining me for the weekend!!

A cute birthday card...

I created this cute card using my Cricut and Gypsy.  The words "Happy Birthday" were from the Smiley Cards cartridge and the cake was from a different cartridge (just can't remember which one at the moment).  I used white flecked cardstock and just left the inside blank.  I think it turned out pretty cute!!

WOW... It's been a LONG time...

I realized the other day that I had not been as 'faithful' as I would have liked.  I have some new cards that I have created using new Cricut Cartridges.  I got the opportunity to represent Provo Craft at a Creative Memories event in Wilmington, OH on Feb 25th and it was a BLAST!!  I loved being able combine my 2 passions.

Watch here for updates...

Weekend Wrap-Up...

I spent last weekend in Lansing, MI at a special event called a "SWARM" that was put on by some of my Cricut Circle Sisters.  (Yes, I'm a member of the Cricut Circle from Provo Craft and love it!)  (And Oh, a SWARM is a fancy name for a Crop weekend.)

We had a chance to decorate our doors to our rooms and there was a door decorating contest.  What was fun was that when we got into the conference room, most of us moved our tables to the edge of the room so we were near the outlets to plug our Cricut machines in so we could work on our scrapbooks.  The fun was also enhanced by each person had a "calling card" that was a 3x3 square with something on it that represented yourself.  You put your personal information on the back and then you used these calling cards as your entry into the drawings that were done.  Super easy, actually!!

Here is the picture of our door:

My roomate was Tricia Noble and she is also a Disney fan.  She loves cats and so we thought that this was a great door for the both of us!

Got home late Sunday from the weekend of fun and now off to work in TX for the week.

Now, on to my Sports Stuff...  Here are some of my pages...

First, Ian's Basketball Team photo and practice photos from his year.  Everybody got trophy's when they were finished. (Ian is my nephew and is now 8 years old... he's the MOST important man in my life!!)
We took a tour of Orioles Park at Camden Yards as a family with some friends who came to visit from Australia.  While it is not about "sports" and our participating, it is about some pretty cool sites at the ballpark and some of the fun stuff we saw and did!

I used my Sports cartridge for my Cricut to make these cool baseball gloves.

My nephew, Ian is into a lot of sports... here are some pages I did with his Karate pictures from Kicks.

Here are some pictures from Ian's baseball practice.  He was so proud of his team and how he could catch the ball and focus!

Thank you for hopping with me today.  I'm still new to this, so I don't have any blog candy to share, but do welcome your following me and your comments.

Some Cute Cards I've made...

Wanted to share some of the fun cards I've been making with my Gypsy and Cricut!!

Used the 'Create A Critter' cartridge to make these adorable frog cards!!
I've been asked by people to make some cards they can use to say "Thinking of You" and I thought this was a cute one!

Snow... Snow... Snow... and clients...

This week I headed off to the Toronto, ON Canada area for a client site visit.  It was a nice 5 hr drive up on Monday morning and I get to drive back home Friday afternoon.

The "snowstorm of 2011" hit me last night, but instead of getting 20" of snow, we got a little bit.  The hardest part in the morning was getting my car out of the snow bank that had drifted around the car during the night.  Mostly due to the wind, it was not too terrible getting the snow off my car.  I made it to the client site by 8:15 am and found that I was one of 4 people who actually made it.  After a bit, a few more showed up; however by 1:00 pm they were telling us that they were going to close the office at 3 and send us home.  (Home here would be hotel for me, but I got back just fine.)

The snow continues to fall and I think I'll head off to dinner in the hotel tonight.  (Heck, I got a pretty good parking spot and want to stay there and not loose it.)  Funny how different people deal with the snow in their part of the world.  Maybe tomorrow more people will show up for training for me to work with...

To Be Continued...

Interesting week in Charlotte, NC

So Monday Morning a co-worker and I left the Cleveland Airport to fly to Charlotte to visit a client for the week.  They had some snow when we arrived and by "some" I mean they had about 5 inches and a lot of things were closed in the area.  This is primarily due to the fact that they don't get snow often and the fact that they do not have any snow equipment or salt to deal with that much snow at a single time.

We were ok until Monday night when it changed to ice.  By Tuesday morning, the rental car looked like the picture below.  We had almost 2 inches of snow covering the entire car.  It took almost 30 minutes to get the car warm inside so that we could move.  Luckily a hotel employee had an ice scraper that he let us borrow to get through the ice.  (Of course, there was no ice scraper in the rental car.)

Thought it was a fun picture and worth sharing.  Enjoy!

My Nephew's First Communion

Last May, my nephew, Ian McDonald made his First Holy Communion.  Every year I make a calendar for my sister and this was the page we used for May.  However, since it was such a cool picture, we actually did some page prints to share with the family.  They are 12x12 and it was done using my CM software -- SBC 3.0+.

2010 What a Year

I was amazed by the changes in myself from Jan 2010 to Dec 2010 with Weight Watchers.

My 2011 Calendar Pages...

Here are some of the 2011 pages I did using my CM Storybook Creator 3.0+ software.  Enjoy!

My First Entry...

So, I want to participate more in some of the scrapbook community stuff I see on the Cricut Community, so I decided to create a blog.  I will be posting some photos of my work as well as thoughts as I try some new things so I can share some of my ideas with others. I hope you enjoy!
